Dr. Kenneth Tellez

Dr. Ken Tellez is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Marketing within the College of Business Administration at The University of Texas-Arlington. Dr. Tellez received his PhD from New Mexico State University in 2014. Early in his professional career, he developed a repertoire of skills and experiences by working in diverse industries that included banking and the airline industry. In 2006, he began a career in academia, teaching college-level computer technology and business courses to a diverse population of students. Within the same university system, his next position was leading the office of Career Services where he prepared students for entry into the workforce. He and his team assisted students with their career goals by planning and implemented career fairs, job site tours, on-campus interviews, workshops and presentations for employers, students and alumni. During his tenure, he was promoted to director of planning and development where he directed all aspects of fund raising, marketing, community outreach, special events, public affairs and donor relations. On his off time, he enjoys giving back to the community where he has served on the board of directors at the Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and was the area chairperson of the March of Dimes campaign. Ken brings a wealth of experience and knowledge into the UTA classroom where he primarily teaches business communication courses.
