Academic Enhancement Scholarship
Academic Enhancement Scholarship will be awarded to students, effective 2009-2010, who receive one of UT Arlington's general academic scholarships for entering students (President's Charter, Outstanding Freshman, Freshman Honors, Outstanding Transfer, Transfer Honors) and complete 30 UTA hours during fall/spring/summer with a cumulative UTA GPA of 3.50. The Academic Enhancement Scholarship is valued at $2,000 per year in addition to the general scholarship described above. It is renewable as long as the 30-hour 3.5 GPA minimums are maintained. If renewal requirements are not met, the Academic Enhancement Scholarship will be cancelled and is not subject to reinstatement.
Stars of Tomorrow
Tarrant County College Stars of Tomorrow may be eligible for a full tuition and fees scholarship upon transferring to UT Arlington with a cumulative TCC GPA of 4.0 and an Associate degree. This top scholarship cannot be combined with any other general academic scholarship for entering students.
Valedictorian Continuation
Effective 2009-2010, students receiving the Valedictorian scholarship may be eligible to receive a Valedictorian Continuation Scholarship for the next three years providing full-time enrollment and a cumulative GPA of 3.00 at UT Arlington is maintained. The Valedictorian Continuation Scholarship will provide the same tuition waiver benefit as the original award received from the State of Texas.
