Scholarships in the Department of Marketing

The award of a scholarship will not be affected in any way by race, religion, creed, or gender, but will be awarded on the basis of the student’s potential and interest in a degree program in marketing. Award amounts are typically $500, $1000 and $5000. In-state tuition rates may apply to recipients of scholarship awards of $1000 or more.

MSMR Alumni Association Student Scholarship – Fall Semester

The MSMR Alumni Association established this scholarship to encourage and reward the students who best represent the MSMR program by exemplifying the qualities of leadership, academic achievement, and a commitment to a career in marketing research. Additionally, financial need is considered. Pending funds availability, scholarships will be awarded to continuing students in the Fall semester based on a rank ordering of eligible students.

MSMR Alumni Association Student Scholarship – Spring Semester

MSMR Alumni Association Scholarship for continuing students of the MSMR program. This scholarship is awarded to continuing students in the Spring semester based on a rank ordering of eligible students. Note - Students who have NOT taken any Marketing Research courses are not eligible to apply.*

MSMR Alumni Association Scholarship

MSMR Alumni Association Scholarship - For continuing students of the MSMR program. Pending funds availability, scholarships will be awarded to continuing students in the Fall semester based on a rank ordering of eligible students. Other sources of funding or other scholarships will be considered in scholarship application. Students who have only 6 hours left in the program are eligible to apply. Note: Students who did not take any Marketing Research courses are NOT eligible for this scholarship.

MSMR Director’s Award

The MSMR Director Award is reserved for *new students *entering the MSMR program for the first time. New students with exceptional skills and high potential for success in the MSMR Program will be considered. The number and amount of award varies based on fund availability and applicant qualifications. Award decisions are made prior to the fall semester; awards are distributed evenly across the fall and spring semesters of the current academic year.

MSMR Outstanding Student Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded based on a rank ordering of eligible *continuing Master of Science in Marketing Research (MSMR)* students who submit a completed scholarship application by the stated 'End Date'. These scholarships may be applied to Fall and/or Spring semesters.

Philip Barnard Endowed Scholarship

The Philip Barnard Scholarship was one of the first scholarships established exclusively for students in the MSMR Program. This award is reserved for students who distinguish themselves at UT Arlington. Although academic success is a requirement for consideration, that is only one characteristic of past recipients. Award winners have demonstrated leadership, in and out of the classroom, professional success, in internships and beyond the program, volunteerism, and strong individual character.

Sales & Marketing Executives of Fort Worth Endowed Scholarships

The Sales & Marketing Executives of Fort Worth Endowed Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to undergraduate or graduate students majoring in the field of Marketing. Eligibility: Must be a current or declared Marketing major enrolled in the College of Business at UTA. Preference given to candidates with a minimum enrollment of 9 credit hours for the fall and/or spring semester and a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 in major. Candidates must demonstrate high achievement to succeed in the field of marketing, leadership potential and financial need.

Daniel Kauth Endowed Scholarship

The Daniel Kauth Endowed Scholarship will be used to benefit the College of Business and the Marketing Department to provide scholarships to Marketing majors. Preference will be given to out-of-state residents. The award is intended to be used for tuition, fees and books for the awardee(s). The award may also be used for room and board and, other living essentials for the awardee(s). Persons eligible for the award must be a Marketing Major at UTA and a Full-time student who can demonstrate a financial need. Recipients must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
