Doctoral Degree in Marketing (Ph.D. Program)
Thank you for your interest in the Ph.D. in Marketing Program at UTA. The Department of Marketing offers a research-intensive doctoral program that prepares students for research-oriented academic careers in the field of marketing. Our students undergo a rigorous regimen of coursework in theory and methodology, and are exposed to cutting-edge research from the moment they land at UTA to start their doctoral program. Our widely published faculty is deeply, and enthusiastically, engaged in ensuring success for each of our student.
In 2010 we transitioned into a more rigorous, research-intensive, full-time PhD program. The positive results of this move are already apparent. Almost all of our students have presented papers at selective peer-reviewed conferences. Many of our senior students have co-authored accepted papers at the topmost journals, and are well on their way to carving out a successful academic future at renowned research universities.

Enhanced Graduate Teaching Assistantships are available on a competitive basis to students beginning their first semester of study in UT Arlington doctoral or doctoral-bound programs. These packages may consist of some combination of Enhanced Graduate Teaching Assistantships (EGTAs) with full tuition fellowships and grant-funded research assistantships that may include some tuition coverage. Requirements include 50% graduate teaching assistantship, full-time enrollment, and unconditional admission. Interested applicants should indicate interest on their Texas Common Application and in correspondence with the Major Field Coordinator of the program being applied for.
