Dr. Xeuming Luo
Dr. Xueming Luo is the Eunice & James L. West Distinguished Professor of Marketing in the College of Business at the University of Texas at Arlington. He has been a visiting faculty and research scholar in Yale School of Management at Yale University, University of Mannheim (Germany), Munich School of Management, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Germany), Peking University (China), Fudan University (China), and University of Hong Kong (China Hong Kong). His current research focuses on online group-buying, social targeting ads, mobile consumption, social networks, customer metrics, dynamics effects, organizational strategies, and the marketing-finance interface. Professor Luo is ranked #1 preeminent scholar in the world in terms of citations in top five marketing journals (JMR, MKSC, JM, JCR, JAMS) during 2006-2010 according to AMA summer 2012 proceedings, and ranked #1 marketing scholar in North America contributing to an elite journal in the field, the Journal of Marketing, over 2005-2011. He serves on the Editoral Review Board of Journal of Marketing Research and Journal of Marketing. He has research projects appeared or forthcoming in numerous academic and practitioner journals (e.g., Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of International Business Studies, and others). Dr. Luo has received the 2011 Emerald Citations of Excellence Award, the 2010-2011, 2008-2009, and 2006-2007 Distinguished Research Publication Awards at UTA, as well as best paper awards from many international marketing conferences. He has also successfully obtained multiple research grants and professional development awards from MSI, SUNY, and UTA.
