  • With both marketing and English degrees, I specialize in writing and teaching Marketing Communications.
  • I teach ten professionalism labs per year for the University of Texas at Arlington, where I recruit guest speakers to speak to our undergraduate students on topics ranging from dining etiquette to job search strategies. Please see my website blog for more information on these.
  • I worked as an Assistant Vice President for PlainsCapital Bank's Dallas investment firm, FirstSouthwest, where I produced marketing proposals, pitchbooks, white papers, and other written communications for 25 offices in 14 states.
  • I started my career in B2B sales as an Account Executive for a boutique firm (now Wells Fargo).
  • I have served on numerous higher education curriculum, graduation, and conference committees.
  • At the Florida Department of Education, I led a team of professional educators to revise the grading rubric for the Florida English Teacher's Certification Exam.
  • I served as the Director of the Carnival Arts Program for Barry University's Tallahassee campus.
  • At the Florida Center for Reading Research, I served as the program coordinator for the national Center on Instruction literacy program.
