Ana Alejandra Galindo
Manager, Global Brand Sponsorship

Ana Galindo is a native of Mexico City who currently lives in Atlanta, GA. After 2 years at the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana in México City, Ana moved to Texas where she earned a BBA in International Marketing from Texas Christian University and continued on to earn a MS in Marketing Research at the University of Texas in Arlington.

Leveraging her language and cultural background, Ana started her research career in 2000 in California with a Multicultural Research company where she was instrumental in setting up the first-ever Hispanic consumer scanner panel (an AC Nielsen panel). Later on, and to experience the client-side, Ana moved to Rochester, NY to work for Kodak where she led worldwide tracking studies to understand the speed of digital adoption as well as loyalty among professional photographers. Getting out of the comfort zone is one way to further one’s learning so Mrs. Galindo moved to Bentonville, AR in 2008 to join the largest company in the world, Walmart, as Insights Manager initially working on Boomers to uncover missed opportunities within this segment. She was later promoted to Sr. Manager Private Brands Insights where she led key strategic research projects such as ROI measurement on the re-launch of Great Value (a $16B brand) and the launch of a new premium private label food brand; World Table. Arkansas is called the Natural State and while it is indeed beautiful, the need for a more enriching environment took Mrs. Galindo to Atlanta, GA to work for The Home Depot (THD) where she was invited to be the Multicultural Insights expert. At THD, Ana’s leveraged primary and secondary research, social media listening, and sales analytics to derive insights and make recommendations that grew the business by putting the customer first (for both, Pros and Consumers).

Today, at UPS®, Mrs. Galindo is responsible for generating insights to develop and support brand & communications strategies for projects across the globe. UPS, as a company that seeks to reaffirm its leadership in the US and expand its presence in the world; one can only imagine the array of interesting research challenges that must keep Ana up at night. Beyond work life, Mrs. Galindo enjoys spending time with her two grown daughters, traveling back to Mexico, perfecting her Portuguese, and discovering new places with her husband and their miniature poodle.
