50th anniversary


To celebrate the 50th year of the College of Business, the Marketing Department will hold a two day event aimed at enhancing research collaboration and networking opportunities while promoting UTA's brand.

Faculty Research Conference, March 11th and 12th 2016.

On March 11, we will have four distinguished speakers giving talks (Prof. Bob Meyer, Prof. Connie Pechmann, Prof. V Kumar and Prof. Mike Ahearne,) and nine short talks by faculty volunteers.

On March 12, the morning session will be dedicated to the continuation of the Faculty Research Conference. We will begin the proceedings with three faculty volunteer talks and finish with four distinguished journal editor talks (Prof. Brian Ratchford, Prof. Steve Brown, Prof. Mary Jo Bitner and Prof. Eric Harris).

TX Ph.D. Research Conference, March 12th 2016.

This will be a half a day event which will be a regional marketing research conference for doctoral students in the state of Texas. We invite submissions from doctoral students. All submissions will be evaluated through a blind review process and eight to twelve papers will be selected for manuscript presentations. At least one of the authors has to be from a Texas based school. The selected manuscripts will also receive consideration for publication in The Journal of Managerial Issues. A cash price award will be given to the best conference paper. The submission deadline is January 5, 2016.
