Faculty Research
Members of the Department of Management regularly publish in the areas of organizational behavior (OB), human resource management (HR), and strategic management (SM).
The OB/HR faculty conducts research on leadership, organizational justice, corporate citizenship behaviors, work-family balance, workforce diversity, employee behaviors, psychological well-being, and personnel selection. Faculty members also investigate issues related to groups and teams, including team decision making, group performance, and negotiations. Research is conducted in the field and in the College of Business Administration’s state-of-the-art behavior laboratory.
The SM faculty conduct research focusing on a broad range of strategic management issues. Specific topics currently being examined by our faculty include strategic decision making, mergers and acquisitions, CEO selection, TMT characteristics, corporate governance, strategic decision processes, strategic human resource management, international strategies, organizational learning, and innovation.
Management faculty regularly publish in many of the field’s most prestigious journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Personnel Psychology.
