Department of Information Systems and Operations Management
Ken Sears, Senior Lecturer, unexpectedly passed away this summer. Mr. Sears made significant contributions to the department and was responsible for implementing the networking lab and developing new courses such as Digital Technologies. He also sponsored the AITP organization on campus. He loved teaching and helping his students, and often remarked "I have a fun job!" The ISOM department is grateful for his contributions and talents and sends our best to his family. He will be missed.
Bachelor of Science and Master of Science are now STEM programs!
The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) offers a BS in Information Systems, a BBA in Information Systems, an MS in Information Systems, and PhDs in both Information Systems and Operations Management. Many students choose one of these as a major degree or as a concentration when working on another degree.
We work with companies in the D/FW metroplex to provide job opportunities for our students. Our students have been successfully employed by Alcon, Lockheed, Verizon, and many other companies.
