An Introduction to the Undergraduate Program

The disciplines of Finance and Real Estate draw upon concepts from economics, statistics, and mathematics in order to help managers make sound financial decisions. In the area of corporate finance, these decisions involve the capital investment and financing activities of business. In the area of investments, these decisions involve portfolio investment activities of individuals and institutions like mutual funds, investment banking firms, and pension funds. In the area of financial institutions, these decisions involve the management and operation of financial institutions like commercial banks, financial companies, and insurance companies. Finally, in the area of Real Estate, these decisions revolve around real estate development and financing.

Two undergraduate degree programs are available through the Department of Finance and Real Estate.

The Finance concentration allows students to develop concepts and skills in preparation for a career in either corporate finance, investments, or financial institutions.

Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate
