Richard L. Mauldin

Richard L. Mauldin is a Vice President within the Community Development/CRA Department of Texas Capital Bank and Texas Capital Community Development Corporation, headquartered in Dallas Texas. With over 10 years of banking experience and 25 years in the not-for-profit sector, his role is overseeing the bank’s community development work in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Fort Worth. Mr. Mauldin is a Certified Financial Education Instructor through the National Financial Educators Council. During the past ten years Mr. Mauldin has provided over 5,000 hours of financial literacy instruction to over 10,000 students through organizations such as HIS Bridge Builders, Brighter Tomorrows, Brother Bill’s Helping Hand, Catholic Charities Ft. Worth, Exodus, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Housing Crisis Center, Literacy Instruction for Texas (LIFT), Mercy Street, Our Friends Place, Pinkston High School, Shared Housing YMCA, YWCA and Youth with Faces. He has also served on numerous community boards including chairing the board for LIFT; Trinity River Mission; Shared Housing; UTA Financial Literacy Advisory Board; Texas Bankers Association Foundation and Site Based Decision Making Committees (DISD). Mr. Mauldin has received the Leadership in Financial Education Award (LiFE) from the Texas Bankers Association, the Doris Black Award from Brighter Tomorrows, the Vin Vincent Award from The Housing Crisis Center and the Outstanding Directors Award from the Dallas Business Journal. A native of Dallas, Richard earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Baylor University and a master’s degree in theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.. He and his wife have been married for over 30 years and are the parents of five children.
