CSPCLASS is a mailing list for sharing information with other students taking this class. It operates using the listserv software running on a UTA server. The primary function of listserv software is to keep track of subscribers to the list and to forward messages from any subscribers to all subscribers. Mailing lists use two basic email addresses, (email@example.com to tell listserv how to manage the list for you and firstname.lastname@example.org to send email to all members of the list.
The listserv software uses your email address to identify you as someone subscribed to the list. Therefore, if you have a different email address at work and at home and want to send to the list from work and home, you will need to subscribe from both locations.
To subscribe to cspclass, send email to email@example.com or click here. The body of the message should read: as follows
subscribe cspclass yourfirstname yourlastname
You request will be forwarded to me for approval. Once I approve and listserve subscribes you, an email notification will be sent to you.
Address the email message to CSPCLASS@listserv.uta.edu. Remember netiquette (text, page 325), that is, include a subject, sign your email, and do not use the list for personal messages to only one person.
To remove yourself from the list, send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org with the word unsubscribe in the body of the message.
