Professor Miller graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow and Woodrow Wilson Honor Fellow and won the Departmental Prize in Economics. His Ph.D. in Economics is from the University of Chicago where he was a Lilly Honor Fellow. Dr. Miller then became a member of the faculty in the Department of Economics at the University of Washington. Later he became a Professor of Economics at the University of Miami where he was a founder of the Law and Economics Center. Miller has published articles in the American Economic Review and other journals and is nationally noted as the author of leading economics textbooks; he focuses on how to enhance economics communication for college students.
