| • | Requirements to Qualify for Undergraduate Graduation |
| Effective September 1, 2006, if these requirements are not met, a student will not be allowed to participate in the commencement ceremony as they are not considered a viable candidate by the University. |
| In addition to meeting the credit hour and course requirements for a specific College of Business degree program, the student must meet the following requirements: |
| 1. All College of Business admission requirements and must be admitted |
| to a business degree program. |
| 2. Students must complete at least 50 percent of their business coursework |
| in residence. |
| 3. A grade of "C" or better must be earned in all major/concentration courses |
| required for the degree. (This requirement is for students that entered UT |
| Arlington in Fall 2001 or later.) |

| • | Deadlines to Apply for Undergraduate Graduation |
| Application must be made online. Students that submit their application for graduation at least 2 weeks prior to the early registration period will receive priority registration status as graduating seniors. Click here for Application. |
| Fall Semester: |
| Application for graduation must be received 2 months prior to the end of the semester in order for the student to graduate after the current semester. The application can be submitted any time before this 2-month deadline. The deadline for Fall 2012 is September 7, 2012. |
| Spring Semester: |
| Application for graduation must be received 2 months prior to the end of the semester in order for the student to graduate after the current semester. The application can be submitted any time before this 2-month deadline. The deadline for Spring 2013 is January 28, 2013. |
| Summer Semester: |
| Application for graduation must be received 6 weeks prior to the end of the semester in order for the student to graduate after the current semester. The application can be submitted any time before this 6-week deadline. The deadline for Summer 2013 is June 4, 2013. |

| • | Commencement Ceremony Information |
| ANY applicant for graduation who drops a course during the Fall 2012 semester and therefore is not completing all degree requirements will not be allowed to participate in the College of Business Fall ceremony or access commencement tickets. A final check of all graduation applicants will occur after the Last Day to Drop in the student's final semester and before tickets are available for distribution in the Fall term. |

| If you are participating in the ceremony, YOU MUST REGISTER WITH THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS by completing the Response/RSVP Card and returning it to the Advising Center, Business Building, Suite 107 by Friday, November 2, 2012. Tickets will NOT be available to any candidate whose Response/RSVP Card is not returned BY THE DUE DATE. |
| • | Tickets |
| All Tickets must be accessed online beginning Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Check your UTA Email account for information and your password to access your assigned tickets. The College of Business will not have access to your password information, nor do we have tickets for you to pick up. |
| CANDIDATES PARTICIPATING IN THE CEREMONY MAY RECEIVE SIX (6) TICKETS AND UP TO TWO (2) ADDITIONAL AS NEEDED if a Response/RSVP Card was submittted. Additional tickets beyond the eight (8) total are NOT available. One ticket required per adult and children 2 years old and older. |
| ONLY IF YOU REGISTER WITH THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS INDICATING PARTICIPATION BY THE NOVEMBER 2nd DEADLINE WILL TICKETS BE AVAILABLE TO YOU. |
| • | Cap and Gown |
| The required regalia must be ordered from the University Bookstore and is required to participate. Announcements are also available for order online through Jostens. You should do this ASAP. Click for Fall 2012 Regalia Pricing. |
| • | Commencement Ceremony |
| Candidates must report to the West Entrance of College Park Center no later than 9:00 AM to participate in the 10:00 AM ceremony. The West Entrance on Pecan Street is for candidates ONLY. All guests must enter at the north side of the building. | |
| ALL PERSONAL ITEMS must be left with your family/guests, they may NOT be carried or secured for later pick up. All Candidates will be placed in alphabetical order by major and given instructions concerning the ceremony. Candidates are strongly encouraged to wear comfortable shoes as you will be standing and walking. |
| Candidates arriving after the processional will not be permitted to participate in the commencement ceremony. |
| ALL CANDIDATES PARTICIPATING WILL REMAIN IN FLOOR SEATING THROUGH THE ENTIRE CEREMONY. |
| NO PERSONAL ITEMS MAY BE LEFT IN THE LINE-UP AREA OR CARRIED. |
| • | Parking |
| Parking for candidates and guests will be available in the College Park Center Garages and in surface lots. Pecan Street will be closed. Handicap parking is designated for the College Park Center South Parking Garage. More details related to parking are available on the University Commencement website. |
| • | Diploma |
| Candidates will receive a commencement memento as their name is announced. Diplomas will be distributed by mail from the Registrar's Office in Davis Hall six weeks after the ceremony. |
| • | Photographs |
| A professional photographer will take individual photographs of all graduates as they receive their mementos. They will be available for purchase online. Personal photography inside College Park Center is restricted. More detail is available on the Commencement website. The email and mailing adress you provide on the Response/RSVP Card will be used to mail photo information. |

| Guests should enter College Park Center through the north entrances. Parking lots in the area will be open and available for parking. Handicap parking is designated for the College Park Center South Parking Garage. College Park Center is wheelchair-accessible. Guests arriving more than 10 minutes late or without a ticket will not be admitted. |

| Commencement is both a joyous and serious occasion. We ask that members of the audience refrain from making unnecessary disturbances that would interfere with everyone's desire to see and hear all aspects of the ceremony. |

| • | How do I make sure I will receive tickets to the Commencement Ceremony? |
| Candidates are required to register with their college if they intend to participate in the ceremony. In the College of Business, this is accomplished by completing and returning the Response/RSVP Card that is mailed to all candidates. The deadline to return the Response/RSVP card and be included on the ticket list is Friday, November 2nd. |
| • | Where will the ceremony be held? |
| The commencement ceremony will be held in College Park Center (CPC) on the University of Texas at Arlington campus. |
| • | Where do I purchase my cap and gown? |
| Academic regalia must be purchased at the UT Arlington Bookstore. Candidates must wear appropriate academic regalia if participating in the ceremony. Undergraduate candidates may wear honor cords, medallions, or stoles related to academic honors. Make your purchase ASAP. Click for Fall 2012 Regalia Pricing. |
| • | Where do I purchase announcements? |
| Candidates may purchase announcements from Jostens at http://www.jostens.com. |
| • | How many commencement guest tickets am I eligible to receive and how can I get additional guest tickets? |
| Candidates will receive a total of eight (8) tickets. The number of tickets received is determined by dividing the number of seats in College Park Center (5,726) by the number of candidates. These tickets are distributed online ONLY. There are no additional tickets available. One ticket required per adult or child 2 years old or older. Guests arriving more than 10 minutes late or without a ticket will NOT be admitted. |
| • | How do I access my assigned tickets? |
| Candidates should monitor their UTA Email account for commencement information from the University. On November 20th, candidates will receive an email with access instructions for tickets and password. The College of Business will not receive information regarding any candidate's password, nor can we request access to it. There are no tickets for pick up, all must be printed from the ticketing website by the candidate. You will only receive this email and have access to tickets if you have returned a Response/RSVP Card to the College of Business. |
| • | Will there be a rehearsal? |
| There will be no rehearsal before the ceremony. Following instructions of the commencement marshals during the event will be critical. |
| • | Will there be photographs taken as I walk across the stage? |
| A professional photographer will take your picture as you receive your memento. The photographer will mail/email you ordering information to purchase pictures online. Personal photography and video is permitted by guests only from their seat. |
| • | Will I be able to purchase a video of the Commencement ceremonies? |
| No, not at this time, but it may become available. Please monitor your UTA Email account and the commencement website for updates from the University regarding commencement. |
| • | What should I wear to the Commencement ceremony? |
| Dress for the ceremony is business casual. You are strongly encouraged to wear comfortable and appropriate shoes as you will be walking and standing. |
| • | How long is the ceremony? |
| The commencement ceremony lasts approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Candidates choosing to participate in the ceremony must remain in place through the entire ceremony. |
| • | When and where do I arrive for the ceremony? |
| Candidates must enter the West Entrance of the College Park Center and report to the gyms downstairs no later than one hour prior to the ceremony. Only candidates may enter at the West Entrance. Family and guests are strictly prohibited from entering at this entrance and will be directed to the North Entrances. Candidates arriving after the processional will not be permitted to participate in the commencement ceremony. |
| • | When should my guests arrive for the ceremony? |
| North entrances to the College Park Center will open one hour prior to the beginning of each ceremony. Seating is open and guests may claim their seats when entering on a first-come, first-served basis. In order for all guests to have an equal opportunity to claim seats, guests will be asked not to save seats for guests who have not arrived. There will be sections reserved for disabled guests. Guests arriving more than 10 minutes after the beginning of the ceremony or without a ticket will NOT be allowed into the College Park Center for the ceremony. |
| • | Are there special parking arrangements for commencement? |
| Parking for commencement is free in designated areas on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicap parking is designated for the College Park Center South Parking Garage. Additional information is available on the Commencement website. |
| • | Can I carry my purse, cell phone, or camera into the ceremony? |
| No! Due to security reasons, candidates will NOT be allowed to carry anything with them as they proceed into College Park Center. There is no storage for later pick up of personal items. Leave these items in your car or with your family and friends. |
| • | Will I receive my diploma when I walk across the stage? |
| No. You will receive a commencement memento as your name is announced. Diplomas will be distribued from the Office of Records and Graduate School six weeks after the ceremony by mail. Specific questions about diplomas should be directed to the Office of Records, 817.272.2579 or Graduate School, 817.272.2681. |
| • | What if my mailing address changes? |
| If your mailing address changes, notify the Office of Records or Graduate School immediately. |
| • | What if my name is difficult to pronounce? |
| If your name is difficult to pronounce, you will have an opportunity to speak to the announcer prior to the processional. |
