Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Information Systems

Information Systems focuses on the use of computers and information technology to address business needs. The related course work is designed to provide a foundation in computer hardware, software, database and data communications, along with a sound business background. The department offers courses in object-oriented programming, systems analysis and design, networking, and information security. In addition, the student is introduced to the latest technologies such as .NET, C#, and agile development.
Companies worldwide aggressively recruit graduates for positions as networking specialists, systems developers, programmer/analysts, database managers and consultants. These are among the job titles projected to have the greatest demand in the new millennium. Recent graduates have secured positions with J.C. Penney, Burlington Northern, Texas Instruments, EDS, Alcon, SABRE, Chase Bank, Wells Fargo, Zales and Tandy Corporation, to mention only a few.
