Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Economics

The discipline of economics draws on history, philosophy, and mathematics, and has something to say about a list of topics including household spending, inflation, crime, and environmental issues. A thorough understanding of economic principles provides a student with an excellent foundation for a career in business, economics, government, or law. Opportunities for graduates are excellent. Employers value the problem-solving skills and the critical writing skills students develop in an economics curriculum.
The Department of Economics at UT Arlington has faculty members with diverse backgrounds in academia, business, and government. Courses range from those with specific business applications, such as Money and Banking, Industrial Organization, and Economics for Managers, to those with a much broader social relevance such as Economics of Health and Economics of Crime.
