Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting
| Modern accounting education is complex and often misunderstood. It is easier to say what it is not than what it is--it is not about mundane bookkeeping. It is about the foundation for business success! To study accounting is to study information systems and controls, financial reporting, analysis, taxation, decision-making, managing technology, and business strategy. Accounting majors may choose to become a partner in an international accounting firm, the owner of a CPA practice, or a corporate controller or chief financial officer. |
| The UT Arlington Accounting faculty has been carefully assembled to bring a combination of talent and credentials that is rarely equaled. The collective effect is that each area of accounting specialization is represented by at least one expert in the field. Most faculty members are recognized within their fields because of "real world" experience or publications in books and academic and professional journals. UT Arlington Accounting students perform exceptionally well on the Uniform CPA Exam. They typically achieve among the highest results in the State on almost every reported metric. |
