Business Undergraduate Advising

Kattie Bredehoft from Independence, Kansas, joined the advising staff in June 2009. She is the International Business Advisor and the Classic Freshman Interest Group (FIG) Coordinator. Kattie holds a BBA in Marketing and a Master's in Business Management from Texas A&M-Commerce. She has experience in residence life and enrollment management within higher education. Kattie is excited to be back in Texas to help advise students at UT Arlington.

Janis Dukes joined the advising staff in July 2004.  She holds a BBA and an MBA, both in Information Systems from the University of North Texas.   Janis has taught Information Systems courses at UNT and at a community college.  After entering industry, she held increasingly responsible positions as a programmer/analyst, database administrator, and information systems auditor in diverse industries spanning manufacturing, oil and gas, utilities, and healthcare. Janis was selected to receive the Staff Recognition Award from the UT Arlington College of Business for 2007-2008.

Demetrice Hodges secured a Marketing degree from Texas A&M University and brings with her many years of experience in the retail and insurance industries. Demetrice enjoys working with incoming Freshman students as a Coordinator for the Freshman Interest Group in the College of Business. She enjoys spending time with her family and reading in her spare time.

Marcus Myers joined the advising staff in July 2009. He is the Economics, Finance, and Real Estate Advisor. Marcus is originally from Austin, Texas, and graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Texas-Austin while also competing as a scholarship student-athlete in football during his time at UT Austin. Marcus has experience in the banking industry as a consumer banking specialist. He is happy to be working to help students reach their goal of obtaining a business degree at UT Arlington.

Kristi Russell joined the advising staff in August 2011 and serves as the Accounting Advisor. Kristi is a proud graduate of the UTA College of Business and holds a BBA in Marketing. She has worked professionally in the oil and gas industry, for the U.S. Government’s General Services Administration Agency, and as a self-employed consultant, holding positions ranging from marketing specialist to marketing coordinator for North/South America. Kristi is a member of the UTA Advising Association, and enjoys working with students as they navigate their path to a business degree.
