US Army Acquisition Corps Training with Industry/Graduate School (I-GRAD) Program

The University of Texas at Arlington and the Army Acquisition Corps partner to offer the MBA I-GRAD (Masters of Business Administration and Industry-Graduate School Program). This two year program allows select U.S. Army officers the opportunity to earn a high quality MBA enhanced by real world business experiences obtained while in a 10 month intensive training with industry. With one of largest concentrations of high-tech firms and defense contractors in the nation, the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex exposes Army officers to a rich array of major high-tech and defense firms. This combination of education and "hands-on" training provides the best possible preparation for advanced assignments in the Acquisition Corps. The I-GRAD program allows students to quickly earn maximum education and experience points for their acquisition career path.

During the first year of the program, students study a broad array of management subjects that are essential in today’s Army Acquisition Corps. In the second year, students attend graduate school on a part-time basis and complete a rigorous ten-month hands-on training with industry with one of the major defense firms in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.

The UT Arlington MBA program is professionally accredited at all levels by the AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The program is extremely flexible and allows timely entry into the program in each of the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. This avoids delays in officer assignments. The UT Arlington MBA program can be customized to meet the individual career goals of the officers through a wide variety of elective courses that are available in the latter part of the program.

The Training With Industry Office and the Advanced Civil Schooling Office at HRC screen officers interested in the I-GRAD program to ensure that officers are fully qualified for admission to the UT Arlington MBA program. Contact, Ms. Ceceila R Deshazor at HRC to request the I-GRAD application packet.

It is very important that I-GRAD program applicants follow the Application and Admission Process listed on this page. The process is different from regular student admissions. This process allows us to more expediently process your application for admission.
