Carla Buss Memorial Scholarship

Carla Buss

Carla Buss was a Ph.D. student in the Management Department at UTA during 2010-2012. She was held in high regard because of her academic excellence and the collaborative and supportive way she worked with others. Sadly, cancer took Carla too soon. The Carla Buss Memorial Scholarship was created in Carla's memory to recognize UTA College of Business Ph.D. students who share the same special combination of academic excellence and positive community building. Each year Ph.D. students and faculty are asked to nominate a Ph.D. student (no self-nominations) they feel exemplifies these qualities. The scholarship honors Carla's memory, helps her leave a legacy of helping others, and recognizes outstanding Ph.D. students.
