    UTA College of Business

International Students

As an international student, you have shown a great deal of courage and commitment to leave your home country and come to the US to study. It is exciting, but it can also be somewhat daunting.

1) Be sure to identify if the university community or surrounding city has support groups for your country.

2) Also, one of the things students don't tend to consider is climate. Moving internationally is already a big change. If the climate of the school you are looking at is significantly different from the area you are from, this can exasperate some students. Don't look at average temperate data. Instead focus on the extremes during the summers and winters.

3) Many Universities (including UTA), are requiring that foreign students take the spoken language component of the current TOEFL iBT exam.
