M.S. in Healthcare Administration


Admission Requirements

  1. A bachelor's degree or four-year equivalent. Any major is acceptable.
  2. An acceptable GPA in your last sixty hours of undergraduate work, as calculated by Graduate Admissions.
  3. A satisfactory score on the GMAT or GRE. (Unless the requirement is waived.)
  4. If your native language is not English, you must also achieve a TOEFL score of at least 550 (213 on computer-based test). The TOEFL requirement is waived for applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited U.S. college or university.


Application Procedure

Please submit the following items to the UT Arlington Office of Graduate Admissions:
  1. An application form can be downloaded at the Office of Graduate Admissions.
  2. Application fee (U.S. residents, $40; international students, $70).
  3. Official transcripts from all academic institutions you have previously attended.
  4. GMAT or GRE scores.
  GMAT or GRE Waiver:
The program advisor can waive the GRE/GMAT requirement for any of the following conditions:
  • You have an earned graduate degree in an appropriate field.
  • You have an undergraduate GPA (last 60 hours) of 3.0 or higher and five or more years of progressive health care industry experience.
  • You have (within the last 3 years) or will receive an undergraduate degree from UT Arlington with a GPA of 3.2 or higher, as calculated by the graduate school.
In addition, please submit the following items to the M.S. HCAD Office:
  1. Three letters of recommendation.
  2. A personal statement (Academic Plan) of the reasons you want to pursue a graduate degree in Health Care Administration.
  3. Current resume identifying a progressive work history and an in-person interview.
