Professor Pierce teaches courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting, and taxation. Dr. Pierce's scholarship has focused on improving the measurement process in accounting and furthering the understanding of Federal tax law.  She has published in a variety of outlets including:  Behavioral Research in Accounting; the Internal Auditor; the Journal of Accounting Education; the Journal of the American Taxation Association; Management Accounting Research; the Practical Accountant; Tax Notes; and Taxes-The Tax Magazine.  While at the University of Texas at Arlington she has received several awards for distinguished publication.  She is a member of the American Accounting Association and the American Taxation Association.
