Tax Executives Institute Dallas and Fort Worth Chapters Scholarship

 

Purpose

The Tax Executives Institute Dallas and Fort Worth Chapters wants to encourage students in the UTA accounting program to pursue a degree in Accounting. The scholarship is established to provide financial support for an outstanding accounting student at the University of Texas at Arlington

 

About Tax Executives Institute

Founded in 1944 by a group of fifteen prominent corporate tax executives in New York City, TEI is a non-profit, international association of business executive responsible for the tax affairs of their employers. TEI has grown to more than 7,000 members in 54 worldwide chapters representing 3,000 of the leading business around the world.

 

Criteria:

(1) Have an accounting and overall UTA GPA of at least 3.0;

(2) Be in the Master of Science in Taxation (MST) program or have an intent to pursue the MST degree;

(3) Have completed at least 12 semester hours of accounting (9 semester hours for graduate students) prior to the date of application;

(4) Have at least one full-time semester remaining for degree completion after the semester of application.
