The following are the typical steps in
the admission process:
1. Complete an
application for admission form
Individuals seeking admission to the MPA, MS-Accounting, or MS-Taxation
degree programs should
complete an application for admission form. This application form can be: (1)
accessed and completed online at the Graduate Admissions Center,
or (2) requested from the Graduate Admissions Center for manual completion and submission via mail, or (3) obtained from the
University's Graduate Admission Office in Davis Hall (room 333) or
Graduate Business Studies office on the first floor of the College of Business
(room 107) and manually completed and submitted via mail. If submitted
by mail the completed application should be forwarded to the following

Note 1: The application process should be
completed by the deadlines published by the university. Application
deadlines are published on the website for the Graduate School under the uta.edu/admissions/graduate/apply/deadlines.php link.
Note 2: The Graduate School classifies admitted individuals as either
'degree seeking' students or 'special' students. An individual seeking
admission to a degree program should apply as a 'degree seeking'
applicant (not a 'special' student applicant).
2. Pay the application evaluation fee
A non-refundable application evaluation charge is required for all U.S.
citizens and resident aliens with no foreign college or university work.
A non-refundable application evaluation charge is also required for all
non-immigrant international applicants, U.S. Citizens and U.S. resident
aliens with foreign college or university work. Payment may be made with
a money order, bank-imprinted personalized check, or bank draft payable
in U.S. dollars made payable to UT-Arlington. For further details please

3. Arrange for the submission of official transcripts
An applicant should have official transcripts sent from each college
or university attended. These transcripts must be sent from school to
school directly and cannot be delivered by the student. Official
transcripts should be mailed to the Graduate School at the following

4. Arrange to have GMAT scores sent to
the Graduate School (if applicable)
Most applicants must submit GMAT scores before their
application can be considered. These scores must be sent directly to
the Graduate School from the testing agency. The mailing address
for submission of GMAT scores is:

Note: Under departmental admission guidelines individuals who have
passed a qualifying professional certification examination or who hold a
postbaccalaureate degree may not be required to submit GMAT scores. For

criteria link on this website and consult with the graduate
accounting advisor.
5. Provide evidence of professional
certification (if applicable)
Applicants who have passed a qualifying professional certification examination
(such as the Certified Public Accountant Examination) may not be required
to submit a GMAT score. These applicants should forward a copy of their
certification documentation to the graduate accounting advisor and a
notice that they are requesting waiver of a GMAT score. These materials
should be sent to the graduate accounting advisor at the following

6. International students must provide a
TOEFL/IELTS score
International applicants must
arrange to have their TOEFL/IELTS score forwarded to the Graduate Admissions

7. Recommendations, Personal Statements and Resumes
Recommendations, personal statements and resumes are not required,
applicants who are admitted by Departmental Committee review may submit
any of these documents if they choose. The Graduate Advisor will contact
the applicant if the Departmental Committee wants any additional
information from an applicant.
8. Check your application status online
It is possible for applicants to check on the status of their
applications. Status information can be obtained on the Graduate School
website under the Application
