Graduation Deadlines

Applications will continue to be accepted online through the deadlines listed below.  A $40 filing fee is billed each semester that you file and is non-refundable and non-transferable.

*Applications for Spring 2014 graduation are now closed.  Check your eligibility to apply for graduation for Summer 2014 in your MyMav Student Center

Depending on the commencement program publishing deadlines, late-applying students may not have their name included in the commencement program.

Applying for Graduation

Before you apply to graduate, you should verify with your academic advisor that you are eligible to graduate at the end of the graduation application term.  The graduation application fee is not refundable or transferable to a future term if you apply and then are ineligible to graduate due to missing course requirements.

Once you and your academic advisor have determined that you will meet the requirements for graduation at the end of this term, then follow these steps to apply for graduation:

*Log into My Mav

*Go to your MyMav Student Center to apply to graduate (Main Menu -> Self Service -> Student Center)

*Under Academics, click Apply for Graduation

*Follow the instructions on the Submit an Application for Graduation page

*Select the graduation term for which you are applying, and read all of the instructions

*Click CONTINUE

*Verify your graduation data; and read all instructions

*Click SUBMIT APPLICATION

You will receive a notification that your application for graduation has been received via your UT Arlington email.

 

If you experience difficulty accessing or submitting the Application for Graduation, contact the Graduation Desk by email at gradteam@uta.edu or contact the Graduation Counselor for your academic program as listed in the following table:

Enrollment Continuation Form

If you graduated within a period of less than one academic year, and would like to continue enrollment as a degreed undergraduate, you will need to fill out and submit the Enrollment Continuation form. Please hand deliver the Enrollment Continuation Form to Davis Hall 129 or mail the form to:

FERPA & How To Be Included In The Commencement Booklet

For your name to be included in the souvenir commencement booklet and the graduation edition of the Shorthorn, you must insure that your privacy preference settings in MyMav are set to allow that inclusion.  In addition to inclusion in these publications, your name will also be given to the University's official commencement photographer, the UT Arlingtion Bookstore, the Student Alumni Association and select other official commencement vendors who provide event products and services to graduates and their families.
